About The Position

Waldorf Astoria Chicago is looking for a Communications Ambassador to join the team in Chicago's Gold Coast. The Waldorf Astoria Chicago is a AAA-Five-Diamond, Forbes 4-Star luxury hotel nestled in the prestigious Gold Coast neighborhood. It features 215 rooms, over 5,000 square feet of meeting space, and 4 food and beverage outlets. At Waldorf Astoria, the focus is on creating unforgettable guest experiences, providing meaningful opportunities for Team Members, and making a positive community impact. This is a Union Position (Local 1) requiring complete open availability, with hours and schedules based on seniority and business needs, and full-time hours are not guaranteed. As a Communications Ambassador, you will be responsible for handling incoming telephone calls and delivering memorable experiences that enhance the guest stay.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional phone support: Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to all guest calls, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and requests
• Maintain relevant knowledge: Stay up to date on hotel services, amenities, and operations
• Support emergency response: Relay accurate, detailed information to appropriate teams during emergency situations
• Leverage communication tools: Use PBX system, computer applications, and other technology to support daily operations
