Our Communication Systems Engineering Department (CSED) within MPD performs analysis, modeling and simulation, and laboratory activities to design and evaluate communication systems, signals, and signal processing algorithms for our customers. Key technical areas for the department include: Communication systems engineering (with focus on physical and data link-layers) Communication link performance analysis Digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms Complex communication systems simulations Payload hardware design and evaluation Space and terrestrial communication system architectures Requirements, interfaces, and verification processes Communication waveform design and performance analysis Position, navigation, and timing signals and systems Electronic Warfare As a manager in CSED, you will be providing organizational and technical leadership to the department and applying your technical expertise to develop solutions for a multitude of US government, civil, commercial, and international customers. This role partners closely with the CSED management team (Director and Associate Director) in the department’s growth including business development, hiring, team building, and integration of department technical capabilities.
