Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Communication, or other closely related field, plus two (2) years of directly related experience; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program.
  • Must receive a verified negative test result on a mandatory drug test before starting in this position.
  • Will be subject to random alcohol and drug testing.
  • May be subject to post-accident and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and implementation of communication strategies and social media, creating and curating compelling content.
  • Coordinates press releases, stakeholder communications, and prepares live on camera interviews to announce public information regarding the agency.
  • Assists with short- and long-term division planning and program implementation.
  • Supports the execution of strategic communications, public relations, marketing, and branding initiatives for the division.
  • Creates design and artwork for diverse purposes, including program materials, advertising, events, and informational content.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for inquiries from media representatives, stakeholders, and community members.
  • Maintains and updates agency websites with current information while understanding backend systems for content management and updates.
  • Markets, engages, and secures financial gifts, donations, and in-kind contributions from prospective and existing donors.
  • Researches and identifies new government, corporate, foundation, and private funding prospects.
  • Plans for the annual gala and other fundraising events.
  • Solicits sponsorships and in-kind donations to support fundraising events.
  • Writes, edits and formats grants, proposals, reports, and other funding correspondence.
  • Ensures compliance with all grant fulfillments and reporting as required by donor organization.
  • Oversees the donor database and nurtures relationships, ensuring consistent recognition of donors through donor acknowledgment program.
  • Manages Gala and event expenses ensuring expenditures remain within designated targets.
  • Records and monitors incoming and outgoing monetary donations as well as in-kind contributions.
