Coordinates, plans, and conducts training for Common Sense Parenting. Maintains and communicates information to others regarding Common Sense Parenting training. This position involves providing safe and effective services, adhering to policies related to safety and boundaries, and attending safety and abuse risk management training. The role requires adherence to procedures for managing high-risk activities and supervising service recipients, as well as reporting suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations, and following mandated abuse reporting requirements. The trainer will oversee class management and performance, present Common Sense Parenting classes as needed, and establish and maintain a safe and productive learning environment through various interactive methods. Coordination of additional services for class preparation, such as childcare and food, may be required. The role also involves reviewing survey responses to improve presentations, collecting and entering performance data, and effectively coaching parents to apply course content. Maintaining equipment and supplies, and utilizing personal transportation for training and outreach activities are also key aspects of the position. Engagement in outreach activities includes representing the organization, collaborating to reach participants, and potentially presenting informational or marketing sessions. Acting as a liaison with community organizations and maintaining current credentials and ongoing trainer development are essential. This includes successfully completing the Common Sense Parenting Training for Trainers Workshop, participating in credentialing and program evaluation, and engaging in self-development through consultation meetings and review of consumer feedback. The position requires completing required professional training workshops.
