Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to perform sourcing functions and processes independently with minimal oversight from department leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead procurement projects with significant scopes and value, including cross functional team management and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work to meet the needs of internal clients
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with peers, internal customers, and suppliers
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and capture process improvement and cost reduction opportunities
  • Organization and preparation skills to lead complex negotiations with suppliers

Responsibilities

  • Procurement of all materials and services within assigned commodity group(s), utilizing a variety of tools including eProcurement tools.
  • Establish and apply a wide range of sourcing strategies to assigned commodity groups.
  • Work with clients to establish priorities and manage demand
  • Establish and manage existing contracts with suppliers
  • Qualify suppliers
  • Track supplier performance
  • Prepare and lead negotiations with suppliers
  • Manage supplier transitions as part of contract implementation
  • Participate in cross-functional procurement teams
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement as part of contract management process
  • Actively seek and utilize minority-, women-, service disabled-, veteran-owned and small businesses to support and achieve corporate goals
