About The Position
Accenture Strategy is seeking a Strategy Consulting Senior Manager with significant experience in the finance or energy industry, focusing on investment and trading. Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the consulting industry or equivalent in an internal consulting role, or minimum 8 years of experience working in the energy industry within commodity markets or investment banking.
- A Bachelor’s degree.
Nice To Haves
- An MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
- Strong quantitative skills and analytical thinker with 2-3 years of prior experience in driving insights using statistics or data analysis.
- Knowledge of global markets, commodity trends, and experience in commodity marketing and trading.
- Exposure to one or more of the following industries: energy, chemicals, soft commodities, agriculture, metals, mining, utilities, transportation, consumer goods, or capital markets.
- Experience in renewable energy, the energy transition, and sustainability.
- Familiarity with recognized strategy frameworks and techniques.
- Experience in research and data analysis, digital, analytics, and/or applied intelligence.
- Experience in business case development, financial analysis, and financial statements.
- Strong quantitative skills, including familiarity with Excel/VBA and other modeling packages.
- Experience in leading or contributing to teams and delivering complex strategy or consulting engagements.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on top priorities for their asset portfolios, including corporate restructuring, capital planning, and balance-sheet optimization.
- Revamp client value chains based on market and industry conditions.
- Provide energy consulting to help clients navigate the energy transition through new business models, sustainability strategies, and market outlooks.
- Help commodity trading organizations establish and expand trading and risk management activities across energy and other commodity value chains.
- Lead project teams to shape clients’ investment/divestment transactions and create innovative, agile business models.
- Lead analysis of clients’ businesses to advise on growing product margin, boosting supply certainty, and reducing price/volumetric volatility.
- Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to craft strategies for clients to enter new markets and boost growth.
- Strengthen client relationships to maintain Accenture’s profile as a trusted advisor.
- Lead teams in driving insights and recommendations using data models and visualization tools.
- Manage junior members of the Strategy team.
- Travel as needed, up to 80%.
