Requirements

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or commodity management, preferably within aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

Experience negotiating long-term agreements (LTAs) and complex contracts
Familiarity with supplier risk assessment tools and financial health analysis (e.g., D&B ratings)
Experience with configuration management standards and engineering change processes
Knowledge of rare-earth/strategic material sourcing and sole-source supplier dynamics
Six Sigma, Lean, or APICS/CPSM certification
Experience with ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, or similar
Strong analytical and negotiation skills with a track record of cost reduction
Excellent communication skills for cross-functional and supplier-facing engagement

Responsibilities

Develop supplier development strategies.
Drive cost reductions, negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and oversee work transitions.
Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with business unit goals and overall supply chain objectives.
Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, terms, and long-term agreements (LTAs).
Identify and qualify alternate sources of supply to mitigate sole-source risk.
Manage supplier scorecards and drive corrective action plans for underperforming suppliers.
Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management on sourcing decisions.
Lead or support work transfers/transitions between suppliers or facilities.
Manage supplier risk assessments, including financial health, capacity, and geopolitical exposure.
Support cost reduction initiatives (should-cost modeling, value engineering, competitive bid events).
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, export control, and configuration management requirements.
Participate in make-vs-buy analyses and total cost of ownership evaluations.
