Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • 3+ years of prior supply chain experience
  • 2+ years of technical experience with plastics
  • 2+ years of manufacturing/operations experience with plastics

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years experience negotiating with suppliers
  • Technical degree or a technical background
  • Experience with global sourcing with international suppliers
  • Aerospace experience
  • Experience with lean manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Develops a strategic plan for a commodity and supply base
  • Collaborates with multiple business units to execute Supply Chain strategies
  • Owns and responsible for relationship with multiple strategic suppliers
  • Evaluates and selects supplier alignment based on price competitiveness, capability, quality, reliability (TCO)
  • Negotiates and executes long term agreements with supply base that aligns with commodity strategy and internal stakeholders needs
  • Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature
  • Works with limited oversight from leadership
  • Manages several projects at one time with a variety of complexity
  • Clearly communicate commodity or project status to leadership
  • Ability to identify and pursue VA/VE opportunities through collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Lead change management or work transfer projects for cost savings or better alignment with supply base.
  • Analyzes data and information to determine reasonable prices.
  • Able and willing to coach peers as needed
  • Influence and support Collins strategic initiatives and change management projects.
  • Must be willing and able to travel 20% of the time (domestic and international)
