Experienced or Senior Commodity Manager
About The Position
Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Experienced or Senior Commodity Manager to join their team. This role involves leading supplier/subcontractor business relationships, managing in-service requirements and performance, and ensuring contractual obligations are met. The position requires managing and monitoring supplier quality, delivery, and financial performance, as well as developing mitigation plans to address risks and resolve issues impacting customers and programs. The Commodity Manager will also develop and implement supplier base plans to align with customer, program, and commodity strategies, and analyze supplier and business processes to identify improvement opportunities for contracting strategies. This role serves as the primary point of contact for suppliers, customers, and programs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in working with cross-functional teams
- 3+ years of experience in managing supplier performance and working through complex issues with suppliers to achieve on time delivery of parts
- 3+ years of experience in project leadership/management, supporting, leading, and delegating the project team's responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycle
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 1+ years of experience working with strategic sourcing objectives including supply base optimization, enterprise leveraging, supplier performance improvement and business considerations to develop the company's supplier base
