About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Experienced or Senior Commodity Manager to join their team. This role involves leading supplier/subcontractor business relationships, managing in-service requirements and performance, and overseeing supplier quality, delivery, and financial performance. The position also focuses on developing mitigation plans to address risks and issues, creating supplier base plans aligned with company strategies, and analyzing processes for improvement opportunities. The Commodity Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, customers, and programs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in working with cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience in managing supplier performance and working through complex issues with suppliers to achieve on time delivery of parts
  • 3+ years of experience in project leadership/management, supporting, leading, and delegating the project team's responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycle

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 1+ years of experience working with strategic sourcing objectives including supply base optimization, enterprise leveraging, supplier performance improvement and business considerations to develop the company's supplier base

Responsibilities

  • Leads supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.
  • Manages and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
  • Leads the development of mitigations plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting customers and programs.
  • Develops and implements supplier base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategies.
  • Analyzes supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate into contracting strategies.
  • Acts as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers and program.
