About The Position

In this position, as an FCSD buyer, you will have responsibility over the execution of activities to support efficient planning and procurement of materials to NA distribution network. Your main activity will be processing and expediting Purchase Orders to procure the goods, materials, components, and services required to sustain our operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering (Preferred), Logistics, Supply Chain or other related field of study
  • 3-5+ years of experience in purchasing and/or supply chain in the automotive industry or related industries
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient in using Word and Excel.
  • Negotiation skills (even in a position of limited leverage).
  • Professionally manage customer and supplier relations internal and external to the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create and process purchase orders and tool orders.
  • Purchase goods, materials, components for current and past model programs.
  • Coordinate and communicate with supply chain team issues related to parts availability, inventory level set ups, packaging, logistics, and others.
  • Ensure parts are expedited on critical orders and delivered on time.
  • Negotiate cost reductions based on quote analysis and benchmark.
  • Build positive relationships with the supply base by acting like a partner, trusting and being trustworthy, being fact based and communicating with consistency.
  • Evaluate supplier options in alignment with price, quality, and service requirements.
  • Track supplier performance.
