The Commissioning Training Specialist develops, delivers, and continuously improves technical training that builds a safe, competent, and consistent commissioning workforce. The Commissioning Training Specialist must have advanced technical knowledge. This position works independently within established objectives, exercises sound judgment in prioritizing training needs and solutions, and partners with operations, engineering, EHS, and project leadership to close knowledge gaps, standardize best practices, accelerate workforce readiness, and improve project quality and safety. The Commissioning Training Specialist will normally receive little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. The Commissioning Training Specialist will work on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. The Commissioning Training Specialist will support commissioning Leads, Specialists, Technicians, subcontractors, clients, and other team members through structured onboarding, blended learning, hands-on labs, competency assessments, and field coaching across electrical, mechanical, controls, energy storage, and related mission-critical systems. This person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.
