About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking a Commissioning Site Mechanical Lead for their Data Centers. This role is crucial for delivering large-scale compute infrastructure for AI. The company emphasizes extreme ownership, velocity, first principles, and a passion for the problem space. The Supply Chain Team is responsible for standing up commissioning programs for massive capacity, running commissioning and QA-QC for modular data centers, and automating commissioning processes.

Requirements

A minimum of 10 or more years of hands-on commissioning experience
Commissioned data center mechanical equipment firsthand: chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, CDUs, direct-to-chip liquid cooling, pumps, hydronic piping, and BMS/BAS integration.
Experience running hydronic flushing, cleaning, and pressure and hydrostatic testing on process piping.
Knowledge of AABC/NEBB TAB standards sufficient to identify incorrect test results.
Experience building and executing Testing & Verification programs end to end, from pre-site functional testing through on-site startup, troubleshooting, and support.
Experience participating in design and constructability reviews with a focus on commissioning and operations.
Ability to maintain rigorous commissioning records, issue logs, and test reports that can withstand owner or insurer audits.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering.

ASHRAE or BCxA commissioning guideline experience.
Controls or electrical systems knowledge.
Hyperscale or mission-critical data center project experience.
Experience managing multiple concurrent project sites.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical commissioning across flushing, cooling, heat rejection, and liquid cooling systems for high performance data centers, spanning Level 1 through Level 5 commissioning phases.
Drive the Testing & Verification program for mechanical cooling, heat rejection, and data hall thermal systems, working with commissioning agents and engineers from pre-site testing through on-site functional testing.
Own commissioning documentation across multiple projects and sites, tracking issues, test results, and reports with enough rigor to hold up under an owner audit.
Run on-site commissioning operations across general contractors, designers, and vendors: inspections, safety enforcement, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
Close out final operational handover for mechanical systems, confirming every system is ready for service before occupancy.
