About The Position

Superior is looking for a Commissioning Engineer who will support the field and project operations team through commissioning planning and execution. This role focuses on developing and reviewing methods of procedure (MOPs), supporting lockout/tagout (LOTO) planning, and ensuring systems are prepared for safe and efficient energization. The position is based on a job site in Central Ohio.

Requirements

  • Experience in the design, construction, and installation of building electrical systems
  • Experience in quality control, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Strong technical understanding of medium and low voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and redundant power systems
  • Experience with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E and other applicable codes and standards

  • Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Creates energization and electrical performance methods and procedures (MOPs)
  • Support LOTO planning and energized work coordination
  • Lead portions of pre-energization readiness reviews
  • Identify and communicate risks related to startup and system integration
  • Track commissioning progress and support issue resolution
  • Support quality assurance and commissioning efforts at project sites
  • Collaborate with manufacturers, distributors, and testing partners
  • Interface with owner and construction managers to address technical questions and remediate issues
