As a Commissioned Boiler Inspector Trainee, you will be supporting the inspection of boilers, pressure vessels, and related installations to help ensure they meet safety laws and standards. In this role, you will perform the following duties: Inspection Support: Assist inspectors with checking boilers and vessels for damage or unsafe conditions Safety Testing: Help perform tests on valves and equipment to confirm safe operation Field Reviews: Take part in inspections to confirm work follows approved plans and safety rules Report Preparation: Help prepare detailed findings and submit documentation as required Follow Up Work: Assist with checking locations again to confirm problems have been corrected Accident Review: Support investigations of reported incidents involving boilers or pressure vessels. Requirements

  • One year of experience in the design, construction, installation, inspection, operation, maintenance, or repair of boilers, unfired pressure vessels, electronic equipment, electrical systems, heavy machinery, motors, engines, drives or hydraulic systems; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Employees must obtain, within the probationary period, a valid National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspector Commission, and a valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspector Commission.
  • Possession of an active motor vehicle license.
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to Delaware or Philadelphia County by date of hire.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
