About The Position

This role is responsible for the efficient operations of commissary services at Shelby County Jail.

Requirements

• Read and comprehend documentation written at a nationally accepted high school level.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a secure corrections environment.
• Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Lift items weighing up to sixty (60) pounds to a height of 54 inches.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Distributing individual commissary orders to inmates in assigned housing locations.
• Documenting any shortages or mishaps with commissary orders in a clear fashion.
• Properly communicating with the Site Manager and facility to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist Site Manager in keeping a clean work area and exceptional level of organization.
• Facilitate commissary pickup and delivery with the truck drivers as well as Inmate Worker Supervisors.
• Represent Kimble’s Corrections in a positive manner at all times.
• Ensure efficiency and client satisfaction amongst the commissary department.
• Adhere to all security regulations and procedures outlined by the assigned facility.
• Carry out any duties assigned by management
