Commercialization Director, Financial Institutions Americas

Barclays•New York, NY
•$220,000 - $300,000

About The Position

The Commercialization Director provides strategic and commercial leadership across the Financial Institutions franchise in the Americas, covering banks, broker-dealers, FinTechs and regulated payment companies. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role contributes to regional and Group strategy and helps Sector Heads strengthen client execution without taking ownership of client relationships, origination or execution. The Director clarifies business appetite, develops systematic client content and market-facing strategies, and mobilizes partners around priority growth opportunities. The role helps define where and how the franchise can compete, identify cross-sector opportunities, and address structural barriers while maintaining sound risk, governance and controls. It turns market, client and portfolio insights into scalable propositions, content and decision frameworks that improve the quality, consistency and pace of execution. The Director manages a business function or, as an individual contributor, leads organization-wide projects as a deep technical expert and thought leader. The role influences strategy, policies and senior decisions; leads complex initiatives through collaboration and constructive challenge; and guides less experienced specialists. It also supports compliance with applicable regulations and represents the function with internal and external stakeholders. Success includes clearer business appetite and timely resolution of constraints, meaningful contribution to regional and Group strategy, adoption of differentiated client content, stronger client conversations and proposition outcomes, effective cross-functional delivery, and commercial impact alongside sound risk and governance outcomes. This is a regulated role.

Requirements
