TCI Transportation is seeking an experienced Commercial Used Truck Sales Manager to lead one of its fastest-growing business segments. Requirements

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Used Commercial Truck Sales, Fleet Sales, Truck Dealership Operations, Transportation Equipment Sales, or Commercial Vehicle Sales Leadership.
  • Strong understanding of Class 5–8 truck markets.
  • Proven success improving sales, margins, inventory turn, and profitability.
  • Experience managing and developing successful sales professionals.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong financial and analytical abilities.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, inventory systems, and reporting dashboards.
  • A bias toward action and continuous improvement.

  • Medium- or Heavy-Duty Truck Dealership experience
  • Auction purchasing and wholesale remarketing experience
  • Fleet lifecycle or lease return expertise
  • KPI-driven sales leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of TCI's Used Truck Sales division.
  • Develop inventory, pricing, merchandising, and sales strategies that maximize revenue and gross profit.
  • Acquire quality inventory through trade-ins, fleet relationships, lease returns, auctions, wholesale channels, and dealer partnerships.
  • Evaluate and price medium- and heavy-duty commercial trucks using market trends and valuation expertise.
  • Monitor key business metrics including Gross Profit, Inventory Turn, Aging Inventory, Average Days to Sale, Closing Ratios, CRM Compliance, Forecast Accuracy, and Sales Activity.
  • Build relationships with fleet operators, dealerships, wholesalers, transportation partners, and commercial customers.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop a motivated sales team focused on accountability, execution, and customer service.
  • Drive CRM excellence by ensuring pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and customer follow-up are consistently executed.
  • Partner across departments (Service, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Executive Leadership) to continuously improve business performance.
