This position can work remotely from a home office (anywhere in the state of Michigan) for day-to-day operations. Will travel to the Fremont, MI office on occasion. The role involves reviewing and analyzing internal/external investigations, inspections, and statuses to ensure rating/premium value integrity and adherence to underwriting guidelines and corporate goals. The analyst will initiate policy adjustments for commercial product lines, tabulate results, and compare rating characteristics of specific accounts to ensure compliance with corporate underwriting rules and procedures. This role also provides advanced technical and product information, maintains professional relationships with agents and producers, and updates rating criteria on affected policies. Additionally, the analyst may complete activity sheets for monthly reports, calculate premiums recovered, and underwrite/process renewals and endorsements within their authority level, escalating to a underwriter, senior underwriter, or supervisor if outside of that level.
