About The Position

Chris Collins, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Truck Operations Coach to join their team. This role involves partnering with dealerships across the U.S. and Canada to transform their service operations, including numbers, culture, and leadership. The coach will be responsible for auditing operations, implementing solutions, training staff, and coaching managers. The position requires significant travel, with approximately three weeks per month spent on-site at dealerships and one week remote. The company emphasizes a results-driven approach and seeks individuals with deep expertise in commercial truck operations who can drive significant improvements.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in commercial truck service operations (e.g., Service Manager, Fixed Ops Director, or similar).
  • Proven ability to turn around underperforming dealerships.
  • Ability to earn respect and build trust quickly.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • High personal standards and accountability.
  • Readiness for a role with autonomy and accountability.
  • 2+ consecutive years as a top-performing "Service Manager" or "Fixed Ops Director" at a branded dealership.
  • Documented positive results in CSI, profitability, and team development.
  • Desire to travel all over the U.S. — 3 weeks per month.
  • Ability to thrive in unfamiliar environments.
  • Self-starter who can command a room, earn trust, and drive change fast.
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and coach.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort with leading training.
  • A flexible schedule.
  • Ability to work with all personality types.

Responsibilities

  • Be on-site at commercial truck dealerships 3 weeks a month, working directly with Owners, GMs, Service Directors, and frontline staff.
  • Audit operations, fix what's broken, and build what's missing.
  • Identify profit leaks and implement real solutions.
  • Train service advisors in high-level selling strategies.
  • Coach managers on leadership, accountability, and building a positive culture.
  • Drive KPI comprehension and hold teams to results.
  • Deliver a mix of on-site and virtual coaching depending on client needs.
