About The Position

The Class A CDL Operator will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials and vacuum truck operations. The Pneumatic/Vacuum Truck Operator will be responsible for driving and operating efficiently and safely all power equipment and vehicles in accordance with DOT laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 Years’ experience required behind an 18-wheeler.
  • Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Must possess Hazmat Endorsement
  • Must have no AUTO Restrictions
  • Must possess a valid Transportation Workers Identification card (TWIC) or be able to obtain one.
  • Must possess BASIC PLUS safety orientation
  • Must possess a Medical Examiner’s Certificate or be able to obtain one.
  • Must be capable of passing a personal background screen.
  • Must be capable of passing an MVR background screen.
  • Commercial Driver - Pneumatic/Vacuum Operator runs under the FMCSA 70-hour rule.
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
  • Willing to respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week as needed.
  • Willing to perform all required job duties in accordance with training.
  • Willing to perform all job duties in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Willing to understand and follow all given directions.
  • Willing to travel out of state.
  • Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
  • Physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Physically capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long periods of time.
  • Physically capable of climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Physically capable of working in all inclement weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brake Endorsements are a PLUS

Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up all necessary equipment in accordance with operation training, guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
  • Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial settings.
  • Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment.
  • Assist in general maintenance of company equipment, service, grease, etc.
  • Wash and clean company equipment – Pressure wash, clean cabs, etc.
  • General housekeeping – sweeping floors, taking out trash, and helping keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Help with future job load outs or unloads from previous jobs – Return equipment and PPE back to designated areas.
