Requirements

  • Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver License
  • Ability to operate large vehicles
  • Ability to navigate to various locations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to drive long distances throughout the day and possibly early morning
  • Possesses acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a cargo vehicle driver
  • Knowledgeable of laws and regulations regarding freight shipping
  • Possess a Hazmat Endorsement or be willing to obtain

Responsibilities

  • Deliver supplies and products to the branches of the company or to customers.
  • Deliver products in a safe and timely manner.
  • Maintain proper documentation and logs of the goods they are hauling.
  • Ensure proper functionality of their company provided delivery vehicle by way of regular inspection and maintenance.
  • Create and maintain various logs, such as vehicle logs, cargo logs, transfer logs, etc.
  • Keep current on driving regulations and required certifications to perform their job.
  • Report delays or other transportation issues to their respective branches, or in the case of a customer delivery, to the client.
  • Obey traffic laws and company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Federal, State and company policies, procedures and regulations.
