About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Transactional / Real Estate Paralegal to join an established, fast-paced legal and real estate team. This position offers an opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial real estate transactions throughout the United States, while also playing an important role in the operations of a corporate-owned title company. The successful candidate will work on national commercial real estate matters involving acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, development, and related transactions. In addition, the position will support local real estate agents and other transaction participants by managing and handling real estate closings through our corporate-owned title company. Accordingly, we are particularly interested in candidates who bring both transactional real estate paralegal experience and practical title and closing experience. Prior experience as a title agent, licensed title professional, escrow/closing professional, or in a comparable role is strongly preferred. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a mature, dependable professional who can manage assignments independently, exercise good judgment, anticipate what needs to be done, and take ownership of matters through completion. At the same time, this position is an integral part of a collaborative legal and real estate team and will work under the direction of the senior paralegal. The successful candidate must be comfortable with that reporting structure and able to balance independent responsibility with teamwork, communication, and accountability.

Requirements

  • Significant prior experience as a transactional and/or commercial real estate paralegal.
  • Experience handling commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing.
  • Experience reviewing title commitments, title exceptions, surveys, closing documents, and related real estate documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and closing files simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, anticipate next steps, and follow matters through completion without constant supervision.
  • Equally important, the ability to work as an integral member of a team and effectively take direction from a senior paralegal.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and a strong work ethic.
  • Demonstrated employment stability and a record of commitment and increasing responsibility in prior positions.
  • Ability and willingness to adjust working hours when transaction deadlines, closings, or workload require additional time. While extended hours are not expected as a routine matter, this is a professional position in which more than 40 hours may occasionally be necessary to meet deadlines and complete transactions.

  • Prior experience as a title agent, licensed title professional, escrow/closing professional, or in a comparable role is strongly preferred.
