About The Position

This is a supply-side role in commercial interiors, focusing on Division 10 Specialties. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will manage projects from the estimate phase through procurement, delivery, and closeout. This involves pricing work, placing orders, tracking lead times, and maintaining communication with general contractors and installers to ensure the right products are delivered on schedule and meet specifications. The position is full-time, in-office, and serves as a pathway to a Project Manager role.

Requirements

• Ability to read construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Working understanding of construction processes, building systems, and project documentation.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills.
• Clear communication skills.
• A habit of following through on tasks.
• Real interest in specialty products and the construction management side of the business.

Nice To Haves

• Zero to two years in construction, estimating, or project coordination (internships count).
• Prior work in customer service, sales, or any B2B setting.
• ERP or order entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare takeoffs, budgets, quotations, and bid proposals by reviewing plans and specifications to identify product solutions that meet project requirements at a competitive price.
• Manage awarded projects from start to finish, coordinating procurement, approvals, lead times, deliveries, and schedules against project milestones.
• Maintain accurate records and customer information throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure quotations, purchase orders, submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and freight claims are current and compliant with contract documents and customer requirements.
• Serve as the point of contact for general contractors, architects, subcontractors, vendors, installers, and customers, addressing product, order, or schedule issues directly and proactively with a consultative approach.
