About The Position

The Secretary of State's Commercial Division is hiring multiple Commercial Specialists to master Louisiana commercial laws, research business records, and provide top-tier customer service via email, phone, and in person. The mission of the Secretary of State's office is to serve the public by meeting its legal responsibilities of collecting, securing and communicating information that enhances commerce, ensures the integrity of Louisiana's elections and preserves, presents and makes accessible government information essential to Louisiana's operations and its recorded history.

Requirements

Three years of experience in the examination, research, processing, verification, legal formation, or maintenance of records of corporations, partnerships, trademarks, or limited liability companies; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR A bachelor's degree.
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
