We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Sheet Metal Installation Mechanic to join our fast-growing team. This individual will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and field layout of HVAC ductwork and related sheet metal systems on commercial job sites. The ideal candidate has strong experience reading blueprints, coordinating with other trades, and executing high-quality installations that meet project specifications and timelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial sheet metal installation
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
• Proven experience installing commercial HVAC duct systems
• Knowledge of duct installation standards
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and jobsite equipment
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and jobsite best practices
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform demanding manual labor
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• Trade school or apprenticeship preferred
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, preferred
• Experience with duct sealing, insulation, and system start-up support
• Welding or fabrication experience

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to determine installation requirements
• Perform field layout of ductwork and HVAC systems based on project plans
• Measure, cut, and install sheet metal duct systems, including rectangular, round, and spiral duct
• Install hangers, supports, dampers, and related HVAC components
• Ensure proper alignment, sealing, and insulation of duct systems
• Perform field modifications as needed to ensure proper fit and system performance
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow and jobsite productivity
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure work complies with OSHA standards and local building codes
• Inspect installations for quality, accuracy, and code compliance
• Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite cleanliness
• Deliver high-quality installations that ensure proper system performance and meet project specifications
• Work collaboratively with field leadership and other trades to maintain project schedules and minimize rework
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Demonstrate reliability, productivity, and craftsmanship on all assigned job sites
