Commercial Service Technician
About The Position
K&D Factory Service, a leader in commercial HVAC/R and kitchen equipment repair since 1945, is seeking experienced Commercial HVAC/R and Kitchen Service Technicians (Dual Tech) for full-time positions across multiple locations in Pennsylvania. Specializing in restaurants, schools, hospitals, and nursing homes, K&D serves the entire state from 7 branches. We are looking for technicians with 2+ years of industry experience to join our growing team. This role involves performing dispatched service calls, diagnosing and repairing commercial equipment, maintaining accurate service records via tablet, and providing excellent customer service. Technicians will also be part of an on-call schedule, which includes overtime pay, and are responsible for operating company vehicles, tools, and equipment safely and according to guidelines.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience servicing commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC/R or in a related industry
- Strong Knowledge of gas, steam, electrical, or mechanical systems
- Driving record must align with our safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset
- Must be 18 years of age
- Completion of a Successful background check and drug screen
Nice To Haves
- CFESA Certification or manufacturer training is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Perform dispatched service calls, diagnose, and repair service issues, and all other problems with commercial equipment
- Report all service activities accurately on the tablet after every call
- Provide excellent customer experience in supporting customers and partnering with internal team members
- Ability to work on-call schedule (Including overtime pay)
- Operate and manage company-issued vehicles, tools, and equipment according to company guidelines
