This field-based role involves working on-site at customer locations. The position is unique, blending HVAC and Controls knowledge, and is responsible for starting and commissioning new systems, as well as diagnosing and repairing environmental-control systems in diverse commercial settings. This includes utilizing expertise in electronics, direct digital control, airflow, refrigeration theory, and control and mechanical techniques. The technician serves as the direct customer contact, ensuring satisfaction by servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, and is responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and repairing systems at customer locations. The role requires coordination with team leaders and customers to understand requirements, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work. Technicians are expected to stay current on Trane products, enforce safety standards, and maintain accountability for company assets. Flexibility to work overtime and occasional overnight stays are also required.
