Waste Pro is seeking a Commercial Sales Representative to expand its customer base across Florida's Treasure Coast, serving areas including Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach, and Indian River County. This role involves identifying new business prospects, cultivating relationships with local businesses and community leaders, and assisting customers in finding suitable waste and recycling solutions. Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sales technology platforms.
  • Ability to attend company-sponsored training and professional development programs.
  • AS/BA/BS degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience. Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
  • 1-2 years of sales/marketing/business development experience within the Waste Services Industry with heavy emphasis on the Commercial Sales Sector.
  • 1+ years of progressive sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply consultative and solutions based selling skills.
  • Applied skills in negotiation, bid responses, contract management, forecasting and reporting.
  • Experience with sales generation, customer interaction, presentation, client interaction, negotiation, account management, forecasting, pricing, and sales closure.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills combined with above average organization, interpersonal, listening, presentation and problem solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to function with the utmost honesty and integrity.
  • Must demonstrate a basic understanding of applied use of sales automation technology used in support of the sales process.
  • Proficiency in using array of software packages, including MS Outlook, Word, PPT and Excel.
  • Experienced in developing strategies to increase sales volumes, manage costs and source potential opportunities through different channels.
  • Knowledge of the Waste Industry, competitors, and relevant external forces that influence the client's buying decision.
  • Well versed in problem solving, market research, financial/profitability analysis, pricing, and client relationship management.
  • Organized and intellectually able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
  • Must be prepared for extensive travel within a defined sales area.
  • High degree of autonomy, yet team oriented with ability to work cross functionally within dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • New to the waste industry but an experienced commercial sales professional?
  • Waste industry, environmental services, transportation, or B2B sales experience is a plus.
  • Experience in using CRM and sales tracking tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new commercial business within your assigned territory.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and in-person visits.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and activity expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with business owners, property managers, municipal contacts, and decision-makers.
  • Prepare and present proposals, pricing, and service agreements.
  • Negotiate contracts and close new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships.
  • Partner with Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure excellent customer experiences.
  • Participate in local networking events, Chambers of Commerce, and community organizations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, forecasts, and pipeline information using company CRM tools.
