The Commercial Sales Consultant will sell products and services by interacting with commercial business customers and developing new relationships. This role focuses on developing long-term relationships with customers via commercial maintenance contracts, positioning the Company to assist with their HVAC needs. Responsibilities

  • Sell products and services by interacting with commercial business customers and developing new relationships.
  • Develop long-term relationships with customers via commercial maintenance contracts and position the Company to help customers with their HVAC needs.
  • Utilize effective sales techniques, including networking and “cold calling” to develop new accounts for commercial maintenance, service, retrofit and replacement business.
  • Actively manage and maintain relationships with strategic commercial customers and support the ongoing relationships with these customers.
  • Ensure that the customer receives consistent service delivery in all locations.
  • Utilize the assessment tool and other relevant systems and information to prepare the proposal for the commercial customer.
  • Explain technical information to the customer in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Prepare and present service contracts for new customers and update renewal contracts for existing customers.
  • Enter new customer data and other sales data for customers into contact database.
  • Prepare weekly reports of contracts sold, details of business transactions and customers contacted.
  • Confer with owners of existing buildings and inspect premises to determine installation or service requirements.
  • Present bid to customer and explain credit terms and cost factors, emphasizing quality, performance and service.
  • Coordinate transition from new commercial installation customer to ongoing maintenance/service customer by meeting with owner and preparing proposals to meet their ongoing HVAC needs at project completion.
  • Contact owners periodically to advise of progress of work and resolve any service problems.
  • Contact property owners and construction agents of prospective customers to obtain information on building specifications and submit information to commercial sales/estimating department.
  • Generate leads for prospective customers for use as sales leads based upon information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet web sites and other sources.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
