About The Position

Nations Roof is one of the largest commercial roofing contractors in the United States, delivering quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction nationwide. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Traveling Superintendent to oversee commercial roofing projects from start to finish while coordinating crews, subcontractors, customers, and project stakeholders. The Commercial Roofing Traveling Superintendent is responsible for supervising roofing foremen and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to specifications. This role requires strong leadership, communication, organizational, and computer skills, along with extensive commercial roofing knowledge.

Requirements

  • Commercial roofing crew management experience
  • Computer proficiency
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience or related experience within the commercial roofing industry.
  • Experience managing commercial roofing crews and subcontractors.
  • Experience with large retail/"Big Box" roofing projects.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of commercial roofing systems and manufacturers.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Willingness and ability to learn and utilize company software systems.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively (100% travel required).
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or other construction project management software.
  • Previous superintendent or field leadership experience on commercial roofing projects.
  • Experience with project tracking and CRM software such as Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate commercial roofing projects from mobilization through completion.
  • Supervise roofing crews and subcontractors to ensure safe and productive work practices.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
  • Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, audits, and site inspections.
  • Monitor project quality, production, labor hours, and schedule performance.
  • Track project progress and provide timely reports, photos, and documentation.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and inventory management.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding project status and expectations.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and thefts and submit required documentation.
  • Participate in project closeouts, final inspections, and warranty delivery.
  • Assist Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, permits, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project information within Salesforce and company software systems.
  • Perform site take-offs and communicate information to estimating teams.
  • Participate in regular project review meetings and professional development activities.
