About The Position
Farha Roofing, an award-winning, family-owned company, is seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Roofing Superintendent to lead their commercial production team in Kansas City. Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Commercial roofing experience required
- Ability to read blueprints, scopes of work, specifications, and manufacturer installation requirements
- Comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs as needed
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Tech-capable (smartphone, apps, basic computer systems)
- Must pass a drug and background check
Nice To Haves
- Superintendent or similar leadership role preferred
- Experience with commercial roofing systems such as TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, coatings, and metal roofing
- Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
- Oversee all commercial roofing production from start to finish
- Manage and support subcontractor crews, ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency
- Schedule projects and coordinate materials, deliveries, equipment, and manpower
- Conduct job site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and local building codes
- Serve as the primary point of contact between subcontractors, Project Managers, vendors, and customers when needed
- Monitor project timelines and ensure work is completed on schedule and within scope
- Troubleshoot job site challenges and implement solutions quickly and effectively
- Review and manage change orders, job costs, and project progress
- Lead and participate in production, scheduling, and safety meetings
- Ensure proper jobsite documentation, reporting, and communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive continuous improvement in production processes, efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction
