About The Position

Illinois Roofing, founded in 1990 and part of Tecta America since 2005, is seeking commercial roofing laborers for its production and service department in Lisle, IL. Located in the suburban Chicago area, the company serves Chicago, Northern Illinois, and Indiana, specializing in efficient roofing solutions. The role involves working outdoors on flat roofs under the guidance of a Service Foreman, utilizing various roofing techniques and tools. On-site training is provided, with opportunities for advancement as skills develop.

Requirements

Must have some commercial roofing experience
Must speak English
Enjoy working on a team outdoors with nature
Be comfortable working in extreme weather conditions
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. regularly.
Repeated bending, climbing ladders, and kneeling, etc
Must be comfortable with heights and being on a roof
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screen

Nice To Haves

Spanish is a plus
Knowledge of roof systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope (tile/shingles). Knowledge of these systems is helpful but not required.
Past residential and/or commercial roofing or construction experience is a plus but not required.
Valid drivers license is preferred

Responsibilities

Perform roofing work in accordance with job specifications and adhering to safety guidelines.
Climb ladders, bend, and work with different roofing techniques and tools.
Work outdoors on a flat roof with a Service Foreman.
Lift 50+ lbs. regularly.
Perform repeated bending, climbing ladders, and kneeling.
