About The Position

The Commercial Roofing Foreman is responsible for leading a crew in the execution of commercial roofing projects. This role involves ensuring safety, managing project timelines and resources, maintaining quality control, and overseeing crew performance. The Foreman will conduct daily safety briefings, manage project communication with various stakeholders including the sales team, customers, and supervisors, and ensure projects are completed according to scope and specifications. Additionally, the role includes managing inventory, reviewing project pricing for accuracy, and documenting crew performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years’ experience in the commercial roofing industry.
  • Thoroughly familiar with built-up, EPDM, PVC, and other forms of low-slope roofing systems.
  • Thoroughly familiar with metal and other steep slope roofing systems and how to properly repair them.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily onsite safety briefs.
  • Inspect surroundings, equipment, and tools for safety concerns.
  • Complete and submit Daily Hazard Analysis forms.
  • Ensure all project communication is completed prior to the start of any project.
  • Manage crew start and end times and production rates.
  • Ensure tools and materials are available for assigned projects.
  • Complete projects per the scope of work or specification.
  • Perform end-of-day and/or end-of-project walkthroughs to ensure quality.
  • Take and send before and after pictures to the Sales Rep.
  • Send daily project status updates, including work performed, materials consumed, and supplies purchased.
  • Ensure Field Reps maintain professional appearance and customer interaction.
  • Order, track, and monitor inventory.
  • Complete and submit Quarterly cycle counts.
  • Review field service projects over $5,000 for pricing accuracy.
  • Submit projects over $20,000 to the WTI Supervisor.
  • Manage, monitor, and document performance of Field Resource Reps.
  • Take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee and work-related issues.
  • Consult with WTI Field Resource Supervisor and Human Resources as needed.
  • Perform any other duty and/or project as required or assigned by the WTI Supervisor and/or Regional Manager.
