About The Position

ARS, a Tecta America Company, is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator/Project Manager to join their team in Sioux Falls, SD. With over 37 years of service in the area, ARS specializes in commercial flat roofing, sheet metal, wall panels, standing seam roof systems, and roof repairs. The Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for estimating and bidding projects by thoroughly reviewing plans and specifications. Operationally, this role involves strategic planning, daily project reviews, and implementing standards for production, productivity, quality, and customer service.

Requirements

General construction knowledge/Commercial roofing experience preferred.
Strong estimating and sales skills.
Knowledge of roof manufacturers’ system requirements and assemblies preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Knowledge of EDGE software helpful.

Responsibilities

Estimating and bidding projects with a complete and comprehensive review of project plans and specifications.
Strategic planning and reviewing each project daily.
Implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
Coordinating with general contractors, vendors, suppliers, and customers to ensure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Preparing production needs by verifying estimates and reviewing project drawings and specifications.
Identifying process improvements and resolving problems on each project as they arise.
Understanding commercial roofing practices, codes, and regulations to avoid legal challenges.
Enforcing regulations and recommending new procedures.
