About The Position
Tecta America South Florida is a commercial roofing contractor in Deerfield Beach, Florida, specializing in the repair and replacement of commercial, industrial, and institutional roofing systems. We are seeking an experienced commercial roofer mechanic for the Dade/Broward County area. The role involves working outdoors on flat roofs with a team, performing various roofing techniques and using different tools. On-site training is provided, with opportunities for advancement.
Requirements
- Must have three years of commercial roofing experience
- Drivers license required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to pass pre employment screening
- Enjoy working on a team outdoors with nature
- Be comfortable working in extreme weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. regularly. Repeated bending, climbing ladders, and kneeling, etc
- Must be comfortable with heights and being on a roof
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of roof systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope (tile/shingles).
Responsibilities
- Perform roofing work in accordance with job specifications and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Work outdoors on a flat roof with a roofing crew.
- Climb ladders, bend, and work with different roofing techniques and tools.
