About The Position

Responsible for the overall planning and execution of all phases of a project to ensure that it is completed in an efficient, timely, cost-effective manner that fosters goodwill and customer satisfaction. To represent the company both internally and externally in all matters pertaining to the Service Department and, in particular, Retrofit and to do so in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Ability to install HVAC Equipment, associated components, assemble, repair sheet metal and piping products of PVC, copper, carbon steel according to the job specifications and blueprint.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
  • Ability to startup and commission installed equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC control problems with new or existing equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and or electrical problems with new or existing equipment.
  • Ability to ensure that installations meet all city, state and local code requirements.
  • Pre-Employment drug screen, clean MVR, and background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes each new project with regard to meeting project goals and deadlines, ensuring cost-effective use of time, materials, and manpower, and anticipating problems that may prohibit successful, on-time completion of the project.
  • Checks all equipment delivered for proper voltage, application, and condition.
  • Functions as a "hand-on" lead person while coordinating and participating in all aspects of completing the project, utilizing a diverse set of skills and demonstrating the ability to effectively create solutions to one-of-a-kind situations.
  • Functions as a liaison between Comfort Systems USA Southwest and client representatives, maintaining an on-the-job demeanor that fosters goodwill, high moral standards, and ethical conduct.
  • Supervises other Comfort Systems USA Southwest personnel assigned to projects, including giving work direction, on-the-job training, emphasizing safety practices and procedures, and contributing input during employee evaluations.
  • Installs HVAC Equipment, associated components, assembles, repairs sheet metal and piping products of PVC, copper, carbon steel according to job specifications and blueprints.
  • Reads and interprets wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
  • Performs startup and commissioning of installed equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs HVAC control problems with new or existing equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical and/or electrical problems with new or existing equipment.
  • Ensures that installations meet all city, state, and local code requirements.
  • Completes the project punch list to ensure successful project completion with customer satisfaction and no outstanding requirements.
