About The Position

Terros Health is pleased to share an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Commercial/Residential Facilities Technician II. This role is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of the inside, outside, and exterior areas around buildings, including ventilating and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical systems, safety items, locks, doors, and landscaping. The position is responsible for facility services for all commercial/residential facilities and assigned work orders from the Commercial/Residential Facilities Manager. This position adheres to all policies/procedures, safety programs, and records. It performs general maintenance work and develops and completes work orders as required. A high level of initiative, autonomy, and organization is required, along with excellent communication skills. Regular contact and good rapport with all levels of personnel throughout the organization are expected. The role maintains strict confidentiality of all departmental information, communications, and activities. It responds to disasters and emergencies and performs other related functions or special projects. The position reports to the Commercial/Residential Facilities Manager. Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Demonstration of mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Understand the requirements and guidelines of maintaining housing units and commercial buildings.
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience and meet the requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
  • Must pass a TB test, a criminal background check, and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with repairs inside and outside of buildings.
  • Following all preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Assisting with painting and repairing drywall as needed to maintain a professional image.
  • Replacing all batteries in thermostats, faucets, toilets, and other devices.
  • Maintaining their designated fleet vehicle to Terros Standard.
  • Coordinating HVAC repairs with vendors.
  • Monitoring and assessing landscape conditions at properties to ensure landscapers are performing according to contract.
  • Monitoring and inspecting fire extinguishers and coordinating repairs.
  • Replacing electrical cords as needed and ensuring that replacement cords are working properly.
  • Initiating vendor procurement for more complicated installations or troubleshooting if necessary.
  • Monitoring on-site trash collection and disposal, and repairing and replacing containers with the City of Phoenix.
  • Working required hours, being available during non-work hours as needed, and responding to emergency calls in a timely manner.
  • Participating in on-call rotating schedules and assigned committees.
  • Assuring patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality, and considering age-specific issues as appropriate or required.
  • Assuring the safety of employees and visitors.
  • Ensuring compliance and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting in maintaining security systems including lock identification, key file, and automatic access codes for facility locks and equipment requiring keys.
  • Issuing keys as authorized and maintaining a record of all keys and codes issued.
  • Assisting the Commercial/Residential Facilities Manager in office moves and other projects.
