About The Position

The Commercial Relationship Administrator II is responsible for working with Loan Officers to meet the banking needs of our Commercial customers, which includes the largest and most complex relationships in the Bank. This position is responsible for the filing, initiating, correspondence, scheduling, and coordination of the activities between the Loan Officer and Customer, to ensure efficiency and high performing service within the department. This position is responsible for ensuring the loan processing and loan closing are conducted in a prompt manner and providing excellent customer service. The Commercial Relationship Administrator II works directly with the customer, as necessary to obtain all necessary information. This position also collaborates and works with other positions within the department to ensure all loan documentation is processed accurately and timely.

Requirements

  • Seven years of similar experience required.
  • In depth knowledge of closing procedures; loan process, documentation, and insurance requirements; and banking regulations
  • General computer and typing experience Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Work, and Outlook
  • Driving, and occasional travel, as needed for business purpose.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Sells and cross-sells Bank products to new and established customers by assessing the customer’s needs and being knowledgeable of the features and benefits of the products.
  • Prepares new loans, renewals, extensions, loan advances, and amendments. Works with Loan Officers, borrowers, title companies, and/or attorneys in closing and funding loans.
  • Determines proper loan system coding (e.g., product type, collateral codes, call codes, and Escrow, etc.) and sends documentation to respective department to be booked and/or maintenance in the core system.
  • Reviews loan documents for accuracy prior to closing and/or booking to ensure loan stipulations from the loan approval and credit memorandum are met.
  • Obtains required information for prospective customers and/or existing customers for collateral and credit files. Scans documents necessary for credit and collateral files.
  • Reviews and resolves credit and collateral exceptions.
  • Works with Loan Officers in compiling information for credit analysis, ordering credit bureau and Dun Bradstreet reports.
  • Request UCC searches and review for prior liens. Start the Loan Processing Request form, including coding, request loan documents, including appropriate security documents, such as Assignment of Rents, UCC search/filing, Mortgage, Initial Escrow Disclosure, etc.
  • Perform CIP, BSA and customer verification requirements (including Beneficial Ownership analysis).
  • Creates CIF records.
  • Updates – Loan Officer on loan progress/issues.
  • Pulls lender exception reports from Cognos, submits loan maintenance and fee waiver requests to Loan Servicing as needed.
  • Submits wire agreements to Deposit Operations. Submits AFT/ACH requests. Completes DepositPlus and ACH agreements.
  • Completes the Loan Processing Request, Preclosing Checklist, and any documents not printed from OnBoard.
  • Provides credit references.
  • Handles customer requests to draft/transfer funds and research information for customers.
  • Pays invoices and fees.
  • Works with Loan Officer in ordering title work.
  • Requests flood determinations and calculates flood insurance, if applicable.
  • Resolves un-posted loan items and ensures financial transaction balance each day.
  • Adds loans to E-banking. Sets up online banking and forms required depending on customer preference.
  • Quotes loan payoffs and initiates loan payoff letters.
  • Prepares and monitors loan participation documentation as required for both sold and purchased loans, handle wiring transaction with corresponding banks.
  • May make payment decisions, with approval from banking center president or department head.
  • Participates in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
  • Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including, but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act: Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Completes required compliance training and adheres to the Bank’s standard of conduct.
  • Maintains knowledge of competitors’ products and pricing.
  • Actively mentors and helps other employees across the bank that might have less banking/real estate lending experience with any questions on documentation/regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
