About The Position

Provide general maintenance, repair, and support for assigned service calls. The technician also assists with coaching and training other technicians and demonstrates the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of proven electrical or mechanical maintenance experience and satisfactory overall performance.
• Ability to use manufacturer interface software.
• Valid driver’s license that is maintained.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Training or supervisory experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to meet physical demands including standing and walking for extended periods; sitting while driving to stores; lifting and carrying up to 70 pounds; pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, bending, squatting, and kneeling; and working in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced technical training or related technical certifications.
• EPA Type 2 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Drive independently to assigned stores on a daily basis.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and procedures on buildings and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment, including replacing components.
• Navigate and investigate electronic controls interfaces.
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
• Safely operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks, and aerial lifts.
• Clean and maintain an assigned company service vehicle.
• Communicate orally with store personnel about proper equipment use in relation to repeat service calls and overtime.
• Use the company email system to send and receive messages.
• Complete repair, labor, parts purchasing, and parts usage documentation accurately and on time.
• Comply with department and company policies and procedures.
• Provide supervisors and management with input about adherence to maintenance best practices.
• Assist other skilled trade technicians with repairs as requested.
• Audit registered store equipment identification lists.
• Coach, mentor, and train other technicians.
