Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in commercial refrigeration.
EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal) is required.
Strong troubleshooting abilities, advanced technical knowledge, and proficiency with diagnostic tools, ability to read and use schematics to diagnose issues.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Capable of lifting 75 pounds and working in various environments, including cold storage, rooftops, and tight spaces.

Nice To Haves

technical/trade school certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnosing and repairing complex commercial refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems, i.e. ice machines, walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in coolers and freezers, glycol systems.
Conducting preventive maintenance and ensuring systems operate at peak performance.
Installing and commissioning new refrigeration equipment, calibrating controls, and verifying functionality.
Performing refrigerant recovery, leak testing, and compliance tasks in line with EPA standards.
Providing expert technical support and recommendations to customers for system improvements.
Maintaining detailed service records and documentation for every job.
