About The Position

This role supports and oversees repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs. As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance duties for all commercial equipment to support Walmart stores. This includes developing preventative maintenance schedules, completing assigned PMs in a timely manner, and conducting training for Store Associates regarding the care and cleaning of equipment. The role also involves servicing various food equipment such as combi ovens, deli slicers, auto meat cutters, fryers, hot cases, ice makers, pizza ovens, rotisserie ovens, thermoglazers, donut cases, four bowl warmers, bakery ovens, bread slicers, and tortilla makers, as well as grease and oil systems like oil/water separators and used cooking oil tanks.

Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration maintenance
  • Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
  • Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
  • Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
  • 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years' experience in commercial maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment)
  • Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
  • Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Vocational or Technical Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) certification and 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
  • Type I/Type II Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program
  • Mechanical license in city and/or state where job is located
