About The Position

A premier global law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its Houston office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing developers, institutional investors, private equity sponsors, lenders, borrowers, REITs, and energy companies in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.

Requirements

3–6 years of commercial real estate transactional experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
Experience representing developers, institutional investors, private equity sponsors, lenders, borrowers, landlords, tenants, and REITs
Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to independently manage sophisticated transactions while maintaining significant client interaction
Excellent academic credentials
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Nice To Haves

Experience with commercial real estate finance, infrastructure projects, energy-related real estate transactions, and large-scale development projects is preferred

Responsibilities

Representing developers, institutional investors, private equity sponsors, lenders, borrowers, REITs, and energy companies in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
Handling commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing, joint ventures, and financing transactions.
Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, development agreements, easements, operating agreements, joint venture agreements, and other real estate transaction documents.
Reviewing title, survey, zoning, environmental reports, and other due diligence materials.
Managing sophisticated transactions while maintaining significant client interaction.
