About The Position

The Commercial Property Manager manages all aspects of an assigned commercial real estate portfolio, including operations, financial activities, and relationships with tenants, property owners, vendors, and contractors. The role involves responding to tenant needs in accordance with lease obligations, managing service contracts, overseeing tenant improvements, conducting property inspections, and making recommendations. The position is based in Royal Oak, Michigan, with a hybrid working arrangement.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate.
• Valid real estate license.
• Strong experience with CAM estimates and reconciliations.
• Experience with capital improvement projects.
• CPM or RPA designation.
• Strong understanding of financial reports, including variance analysis of actual versus budget figures.
• Experience with real estate software such as Yardi or MRI.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor work visas.

Nice To Haves

• Construction management experience.
• Experience with contracts and leasing agreements.
• Experience managing staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with property owners, tenants, vendors, and contractors.
• Respond promptly to tenants’ needs to meet lease obligations.
• Prepare annual budgets and tenant reconciliations.
