About The Position

As our Commercial Property Accountant, you'll prepare and maintain financial records to track the store/property’s balance sheet and income statement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, plus 2-4 years of commercial property accounting experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Proficient in planning and organizing tasks, managing priorities, and utilizing available resources to complete tasks within the deadline
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and book journal entries
- Record and reconcile tenant rent charges and payments (ACH, wires, checks) and keep tenant ledgers accurate
- Follow up on delinquencies and manage collections
- Lead year-end CAM reconciliations and verify calculations against leases
- Partner with operations and asset management on property operating budgets
- Track tenant certificates of insurance
- Enter and maintain lease data in our property management/accounting system
