About The Position

The Fountain Inn, South Carolina site serves as the US Centre of Competence for solid carbide tools, with a particular focus on supporting the US aerospace industry through an on-site Aerospace Test Centre. Requirements

  • 3 years of customer service representative experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma.
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP Proficiency.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
  • Active listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings and instructions.
  • Detail-oriented with skills in understanding troubleshooting and process workflow.
  • Positive, ‘Can do’ attitude and approach.

  • Associate degree in Business and/or Management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process orders within the required time allotment, reviewing for completeness and accuracy against customer specifications, including verification from operations/supply chain and maintaining an updated tool list.
  • Follow up with customers accordingly.
  • Process confirmations and ensure customers receive them via written verification.
  • Input and process all RFQs in accordance with all policies, procedures, and customer specifications.
  • Serve as the key contact to ensure customer contact is achieved.
  • Prepare and manage the backlog to ensure orders are processed within cost and delivery restrictions.
  • Provide backup support to the Customer Service Department for order entry when needed.
  • Verify pricing and part numbers, cross-checking all orders, and ensuring the customer is updated throughout the order, manufacturing, and delivery process.
  • Assist sales and customers by providing information regarding delivery, product status, and pricing, ensuring satisfactory follow-up and follow-through for the customer.
  • Process material needs as required and according to procedure.
  • Create purchase orders in accordance with policy and procedure, ensuring all MSDS and ISO required documents are secured.
  • Identify risks and delays and escalate when necessary.
  • Ensure the work area and equipment are maintained, organized, and clean to Mapal standards.
  • Exceed and exhibit all Mapal Inc. behaviors as defined by policy, procedure, and standards.
  • Ensure written flow charts, work instructions, and/or standards for each position responsibility are consistent and accurate, updating, refining, and adjusting as needed or required.
  • Actively participate in all cross-functional team projects and assignments as directed by the Manufacturing Director.
  • Perform tasks as assigned to qualification standard.
