About The Position

Angott Search Group is partnering with a Midwest community bank to recruit a Commercial Portfolio Manager. In this role, you'll support the growth of the commercial loan portfolio by partnering with lenders to underwrite, structure, and manage commercial, construction, and owner-occupied CRE loans while delivering exceptional client service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial, construction, and owner-occupied commercial real estate lending.
• Experience analyzing financial statements, cash flow, and borrower creditworthiness.
• Solid understanding of commercial loan documentation, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and commercial lending/credit systems.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze commercial, construction, and owner-occupied CRE loans.
• Prepare credit presentations, loan approvals, annual reviews, and financial analyses.
• Partner with Commercial Lenders to structure sound credit solutions.
• Coordinate loan documentation and closings with Loan Operations and legal counsel.
• Manage an assigned commercial loan portfolio, including renewals, covenant compliance, financial reviews, and risk ratings.
• Monitor portfolio performance, including past-due loans, overdrafts, and construction draws.
• Participate in Loan Committee meetings and prepare portfolio and Board reports.
• Stay current on lending policies, regulations, and market trends.
• Support CRA initiatives and represent the bank at community and networking events.
