About The Position

Superior Mechanical is a leading mechanical contractor specializing in Plumbing and HVAC services. We are looking for a motivated, experienced sales person to join our team. In this role, you will be the bridge between our customers' needs and our expert installation teams. You will listen to clients, perform site assessments, and create accurate proposals for commercial projects like water or sewer-line replacements, equipment replacement, chilled water system repair, and all types plumbing and gas work. This could be a great opportunity for an experienced plumber looking to move away from hands on work.

Requirements

  • Technical Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial plumbing installation experience or a Journeyman or higher license is preferred.
  • Previous experience: Experience in commercial service and contract work is a must.
  • Knowledgeable: Strong working knowledge of local plumbing and gas code requirements.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and a professional, positive image.
  • Logistics: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to work a flexible schedule and climb ladders and access tight spaces when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Build Relationships: Establish rapport with key clients to negotiate and close deals for the right products and services.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct site surveys and take measurements to ensure accurate documentation for the installation team.
  • Expert Estimating: Create complete sales proposals, including material lists and labor costs, to ensure project efficiency and profitability.
  • Lead Generation: Develop new account prospects through networking, referrals, and following up on company-generated leads.
  • Project Support: Maintain clear communication with installation crews throughout the process to ensure a "win-win" outcome for the company and the client.
