About The Position
Modern Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Mechanic with a Texas Journeyman Plumber License to join their team in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This role involves performing diagnostics, repairs, installations, retrofits, and preventative maintenance on commercial plumbing systems for various clients including commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, schools, hospitality properties, and industrial clients. Requirements
- Active Texas Journeyman Plumber License (Required).
- 3+ years of commercial plumbing experience.
- Strong experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial plumbing systems.
- Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to read blueprints and plumbing schematics.
- Must provide standard hand tools.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in commercial buildings, healthcare, schools, hospitality, or industrial facilities.
- Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT) certification is a plus.
- Experience working alongside commercial mechanical and HVAC systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems.
- Service water heaters, drain lines, flush valves, backflow preventers, piping systems, and related equipment.
- Install, repair, and retrofit commercial plumbing and mechanical piping systems.
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble copper, cast iron, PVC, and other piping materials.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Ensure all work complies with Texas plumbing codes and company safety standards.
- Complete accurate work orders and service documentation using field management software.
- Communicate professionally with customers, facility managers, and general contractors regarding repairs and recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with Service and Construction teams to deliver quality results.
