About The Position

S.I. Goldman Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Plumbing Foreman to join our Gainesville team. We are looking for a strong field leader who knows commercial plumbing, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can effectively lead crews while keeping projects safe, productive, and on schedule. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands that successful projects require good planning, communication, organization, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on commercial plumbing/pipefitting experience.
  • Previous experience as a Plumbing Foreman or in a similar field leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, tools, and installation methods.
  • Knowledge of the Florida Plumbing Code and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, plans, specifications, submittals, and construction documents.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan work, establish priorities, manage crews, and meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to recognize potential problems before they affect the project.
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, productivity, and teamwork.
  • Comfortable using a tablet or computer to access drawings, submittits, and project information.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when project requirements make it necessary.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Valid plumbing license.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate plumbing crews to safely and efficiently complete assigned work.
  • Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and schedules to plan and organize field activities.
  • Ensure plumbing systems are installed according to project requirements, Company standards, and applicable codes.
  • Plan manpower, materials, tools, and equipment needed to keep work progressing on schedule.
  • Monitor job progress, labor hours, productivity, and quality of workmanship.
  • Coordinate material and equipment needs to ensure crews have what they need when they need it.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, schedules, as-built information, and other required project documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding project progress, scheduling, manpower needs, and potential issues.
  • Coordinate effectively with other trades, subcontractors, inspectors, and project personnel.
  • Identify potential problems early and work with the project team to develop solutions.
  • Promote and maintain a safe jobsite and ensure Company and OSHA safety requirements are followed.
  • Mentor and develop Lead Plumbers and other members of the field team.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality while helping ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
